On October 14, the 2020 Annual meeting of China Association of Fragrance Flavor and Cosmetic Industries opened in OSM Pearl Town, Deqing, Huzhou! With the theme of "Building on past achievements and Embracing a New Era of Beauty", more than 500 industry experts and corporate guests from the "beauty industry" in China gathered together to seek common development and discuss the future based on the new situation in the post-pandemic era.

 "Online + offline" new model

Due to the impact of the epidemic, this year's annual meeting will be held in the form of "offline + online". A separate venue will be set up for the first time, with a number of keynote speeches, parallel forums and industry information conferences. In view of the impact of the "Black Swan" outbreak on the fragrance industry this year, the conference will focus on the consumption trends and challenges of fragrance and perfumed products, the double cycle promotes the development of the international competition situation of the synthetic fragrance industry and the transformation of outward looking like both internal and external repair, changes in consumption as a result of the epidemic, digital process and industry development and other hot topics, carry out multi-level, multi-module, multi-dimensional discussion and exchange.

Chen Shaojun pointed out that this year's pandemic has also had a profound impact on China's fragrance and chemical industry. From January to March this year, cosmetics retail sales fell 11.6% year-on-year, but with the scientific and orderly promotion of the resumption of production, from January to June, cosmetics retail sales to achieve a year-on-year growth of 20.5%. In the vigorous recovery and development of the industry, China's fragrance and chemical industry, represented by JALA, JAHWA, PROYA, OSM and other enterprises, fought together to overcome the difficulties and jointly promoted the sustainable innovation and development of the industry.

During the meeting, the association also commended the enterprises and individuals who actively participated in donations to fight the pandemic. During the pandemic, Beautéville responded positively and donated more than 200,000 masks to France, Italy, Spain and other countries, which was awarded as "Advanced Enterprise in the Fight against Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia".

On the conference, Hou Juncheng, general consultant of Beautéville, described his  "Chinese dream, beauty dream" -- build an Oriental Glasse. He regards this dream as the mission that he must fulfill. For this dream, he spares no effort to publicize Beautéville everywhere in the world like a salesman.

Hou Juncheng introduced that Beautéville is rich in global resources and has policy support and cluster advantages, including the layout of the whole industry chain, government-enterprise linkage mechanism, geographical location advantages, financial services, funds, beauty public service platform, low labor costs, tax and land support.

Up to now, Beautéville has signed 106 projects with a planned total investment of 25 billion yuan. In order to the healthy development of the town, all the enterprises settled in Beauty Town have signed the Beauty Pact with "law-abiding, fair, honest, innovative and sustainable development" as the basic principle.

In addition, the annual meeting also focused on the Cosmetics Supervision Regulations, which were officially released on June 29 this year. The Regulations will be formally implemented from January 1st, 2021, which means that the cosmetics industry will usher in a unified, scientific and efficient cosmetics supervision and management system, and the industry ecosystem will usher in a new round of reform and reconstruction. As a major event of the industry, relevant experts made explanations on the background, legislative principles, production and operation supervision, legal liability and other contents of the Regulations, so as to make preparations for the future development of the industry.
